As We Approach Testing

Hello All, 

    We are quickly approaching state testing, it will be next Tuesday, April 26th through Thursday, April 28th for reading, writing, and math.  Students have been hard at work preparing for this upcoming test.  Please ensure that your child is getting a good night's rest so that are prepared to do their best on the test.  Also, please make sure that your child arrives to school on time for our testing dates.  Science and social studies will be tested in May.  

    In social studies, the classes are completing their final PBL project on the Civil War as they are preparing for 5th grade.  It is a very exciting time in the classroom and students are ready for summer, but please reiterate to them that they still need to be focused in school.  

   We want to send a huge thank you for those that attended AVID Parent Night.  All of our presenters did an excellent job sharing how AVID has helped them become a successful student.

Welcome Back!

Hello All!

    We hope you and your family had a wonderful break.  There is a lot to accomplish this last quarter of the school year.  In Science, we are finishing up our plant and animal unit.  In math, we are now reviewing everything that your child has learned this year for our upcoming SC Ready test.  In ELA, Ms. Saullo's class is working on poetry and Ms. Grimm's class is reviewing point of view.  In social studies, we are beginning on our final project, we will be exploring the Civil War.  We are very excited to have the Civil War Traveling Trunk at Pontiac on Monday, April 11th.

Reminder;  AVID Parent Night will be Thursday, April 14th.  Please return the form if you are planning to attend by Friday, April 8th so that we can have a head count to know how much food is needed.
