As October Comes to an End

October sure has flown by and we have been working non-stop in the PBL Classes.  Students have begun working on their newest project, "Amazing Race," which gives students the opportunity to learn about explorers.  Classes will be wrapping up this project next Friday, 06 November by participating in a wax museum.  They will transform into one of the explorers they are learning about and share information about that explorer.

In math, students will begin the next blended learning topic on adding and subtracting whole numbers.  Since the unit is only six days long, we will be testing next Friday, 06 November.  Please make sure your child completes their study guide for 5 extra bonus point on their test.  Please also make sure your child is practicing multiplication problems each night.

In English Language Arts, students are beginning to learn about "Non-Fiction" Informational Text Features, which includes, titles, subtitles, table of contents, glossary, and so forth.  We will be working with this for two weeks, which will assist with their explorers project in Amazing Race.

Looking Ahead

Hello All,

Ms. Grimm and Ms. Saullo hope that each of you and your families are safe during this trying time in our state.  If you need any assistance, please let us know so that we can contact the correct individuals to get you the resources you may need.  If you are able to donate any items for flood victims, we would greatly appreciate it, so we are able to give back to our community.

Due to what has occurred and with missing school, below is a tentative schedule of assignments (in yellow), since we do have to pick right back up where we left off when we return to school and district dates.  Please work with us since everything is up in the air at the moment.
